Bookings must be made online via our website.

**IMPORTANT** Waterside Campsite is a quiet site that caters for families and couples. We expect everyone to be courteous, respectful and abide by the strict noise curfews of silence between 11pm and 8am. Groups of over 2 adults may be asked to pay a behaviour bond of £20 per person on arrival to ensure the park remains a peaceful place to stay. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to the park and anyone causing a disturbance will be asked to leave with no refunds given.

NO GROUP BOOKINGS PERMITTED WITHOUT PRIOR ARRANGEMENT.

Premium Lakeside Pitches

Premium lakeside location pitches with amazing views of Ullswater. Hard standing Electric pitches with pea gravel surface. Each pitch has a picnic bench for your use and has a shared water point.

All weather Pitch with Electric

Our electric pitches are all weather (hard standing with a pea gravel surface) and suitable for tents, motorhomes, campervans and caravans. Pitches vary in size, dimensions can be found as you go through the booking process.

Grass Pitch Non-Electric

Non-electric pitches are not allocated and are on a first come first served basis. These are grass pitches and are suitable for all types of accommodation.

Waterside Laundry

The laundry provides visitors with an area to wash and dry their clothes or bedding with 2 washers and 2 dryers.

Inside there is also a Rijo Coffee machine, providing hot drinks to warm you up! There is also a chest freezer for refreezing ice packs.

Camping Pods

At Waterside we have 9 Family Camping Pods for hire, these look directly on to Lake Ullswater and have amazing views of the surrounding fells. A camping pod is a timber hut with a wraparound roof (which will comfortably sleep a family of four), all very well insulated with sheep’s wool in the walls, and with a special foil layer under the tiles to help keep summer temperatures in check. There’s good head height and plenty of light from the double-glazed lockable French doors which, together with a smaller high rear window, provide a good through draft. Also provided is an electric and USB socket, and lighting. Also included is a heater and outside BBQ pad, exterior lights and decking area. Please note there are no beds in the pods.

Glamping Bell Tents

Our Lakeside Glamping Bell Tents are available from the beginning of May until the end of September and have unrivalled views of the valley. The tents are made from cotton and have a raised floor which is carpeted, providing a warmer camping experience. Everything you need is inside the tent including two single beds, two cube beds, electric socket, cooking utensils, gas stove, rechargeable lanterns and fairy lights. An outdoor fire pit is included as is the first basket of kindling and logs. We only ask that you bring your toiletries, food and drink, warm bedding and dress for the weather! Check in is from 3pm and we ask that the tipis are left as they are found on departure.

Campsite Shop & Reception

Our Campsite shop is open from 8.30am and has been described as ‘An Aladdins Cave!’ It is compact and bijoux but is well stocked so you may never need to leave the site.

  • Freezer for ice-pack use
  • Wake and Surf, offering rowing boat, kayak, canoe and paddleboard hire from the surf shack near reception.

  • Boat launch and car-parking
  • We are also happy to charge your phones and laptops in the shop.
